Kew Gardens has created the Discover Kew mobile application to unlock more than 50 beacons hidden across 500 hectares in Ardingly, allowing visitors to take part in activities and receive information. They had previously tested this technology with positive results in the museum and shopping centres, but they decided to try it out in the botanical gardens to open up the secrets of some of their rarest and prettiest plants.
